Sinai/Red Sea
The Sinai Peninsula is a historically and religiously significant area of eastern Egypt. Shaped like a triangle, this mass forms a land bridge across Africa and Southwest Asia between the Mediterranean Sea to the north and the Red Sea to the south.
This land can be incredibly hot above ground and parched. However, since Sinai itself is a peninsula, it offers some of the best diving in the world in the crystal blue waters of the Mediterranean and the Red Sea. Other activities in Sinai include Sinai’s mountains, specifically Wadi Ulrada and the Colored Canyon. Hikes are endless in this region with plenty of base camps to choose from. Diving and snorkeling offer incredible vistas of Egypt underwater and showcase a bounty of exotic marine life.
