The décor draws on the serenity of the Patagonian landscape, with natural colors derived from local materials, simple yet comfortable furnishings, and beautiful views of the surrounding areas. Dining is an integral part of the experience at Remota. The emphasis here is on fresh local ingredients paired with good Chilean wines presented in an inviting manner and specially suited either to indoor dining or picnics on excursions.

Explorations are carried out daily with expert bilingual guides. Excursions include hiking, trekking, and horseback riding through the magnificent park, and expand outward beyond the park’s mountains and glaciers to experience life in Patagonia among villages, fishermen, farmers, and ranchers. Meet with the guides in the bar the night before to discuss the next day’s weather and select the best options for tomorrow’s conditions. Groups are never larger than 8 people and have a dedicated guide that accompanies them throughout their excursion. Trek to the glaciers, bird watch or track wildlife, take a ride on docile horses accustomed to the difficult terrain, bike to an estancia, or climb some of the areas peaks. There is something here for everyone to experience.
