Clos Apalta Lodge and Winery

Located in the Colchagua portion of the Rapel Valley south of Santiago, Casa Lapostolle and its Clos Apalta winery was founded by Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle, the great granddaughter of Grand Marnier founder Alexandre Marnier Lapostolle. Highly regarded as one of the best wines produced in Chile, Clos Apalta is the winery’s signature blend and is the inspiration for this stunning, secluded wine lodge.

Property Details

Clos Apalta Lodge comprises four private “casitas”, each named after the four types of grape grown in the Apalta vineyard (Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Carmenère), with décor inspired by the natural surroundings of the valley and vineyards. Each casita offers magnificent views of the valley and are nestled into the forested hillside. Private terraces offer excellent locations for dining or simply contemplating the setting.

The lodge offers a number of activities. In addition to outstanding dining and first-class wines at the lodge itself, you can also tour the other nearby vineyards of the valley, and tours are specially designed to suit everyone’s tastes, from beginners to wine connoisseurs. Tours can also be arranged on horseback, accompanied by a Chilean cowboy, or you can enjoy a picnic lunch in the vineyards. There is also a stunning infinity pool on site, and the lodge offers massage services as well.
