Amankora Paro

Amankora Paro is located in an enchanting pine forest near the small town of Paro. Like Aman’s other Bhutanese lodges, Amankora Paro draws on the prevailing Buddhist influences of the country to create a truly peaceful encounter with nature.

Property Details

Although it is just half an hour from Paro’s international airport, the lodge is a secluded retreat in which guests can truly commune with their natural surroundings. The décor combines rustic and contemporary elements to create a soothing ambiance. A lime-washed stone pavilion serves as the main area, enclosing the living and dining rooms and library and featuring the outdoor terrace.

The lodge comprises six buildings with four suites in each. Each suite features wood paneling and gently sloping roofs and are furnished with a king size bed. A traditional bukhari, or wood-burning stove, can be found in each room, as well as an en suite bathroom with an oversized bath tub.

Behind the main buildings is the spa, which features five treatment rooms in which to luxuriate in traditional massage therapies. The spa also contains a sauna, steam room, and a glass-walled yoga suite where guests can experience yoga activities while looking out over the stunning natural landscape.
