Itinerary Description:
The city of Auckland welcomes you to New Zealand’s North Island before you are transferred to Treetops Lodge and Estate in remote Rotorua. Acres of old-grown forest and trout-filled streams are yours to enjoy for three nights prior to venturing to the South Island.
Spend an evening in historic Christchurch and board the famous TranzAlpine train as you head west through the plains and farmlands to reach Grasmere Lodge. Tour the pastures of this idyllic lodge and create your own adventure at your leisure in nearby Arthur’s Pass National Park. The TranzAlpine train ferries you next through the Southern Alps to Franz Josef and the incredibly eco-conscious Te Waonui Forest Retreat where you will relax for an evening. Impressive glaciers and soothing hot springs are highlights of the small community, memorable points that can be reached by foot or scenic helicopter ride.
Continue down the picturesque coast to Queenstown and Blanket Bay, the final stop on your journey. Here you will view one of New Zealand’s most famous sights, Milford Sound, on an exclusive helicopter tour. Hike, ski, explore and relax in your final days in this gorgeous natural wonderland.
