Itinerary Description:

Begin your tour of South Africa with the best in challenging golf and exciting game at Legend Golf & Safari Resort, situated within the Entabeni Safari Conservancy in the malaria-free Waterberg Region of the Limpopo Province. The Big Five abound, as do several species of large mammals and hundreds of types of plants and birds. Game drives are complimented by unimaginable golfing. The Signature Course is an 18-hole collaborative masterpiece, each hole designed by a different golfing professional including Thomas Bjorn and Padraig Harrington. Play the Tribute Course, an excellent test of golfers’ short game, or try for par on the unprecedented Extreme 19th – the tee sits atop a 1,400-foot ridge and can be accessed only by helicopter.

Next, travel to the famed Kruger National Park and Jock Safari Lodge. With exclusive access to one of Africa’s best game viewing destinations, your stay at Jock Safari Lodge will be bookended by the best of the Big Five. Walking safaris, birding safaris and guided historical tours will take you along the paths of legend and mystery.

Continue to the Eastern Cape and the coastal burg of St. Francis Bay for picturesque golfing on the famed course designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus. Presiding over the first tee of the Links course, St Francis Golf Lodge is a place where golf enthusiasts can escape to indulge their favorite pastime and relax in splendor. Your room faces the first tee of the championship course, an ideal location for early-morning games. Venture further afield to superb waterside activities in St. Francis Bay.

The seaside city of Knysna in the Garden Route region is your next destination with the Pezula Resort Hotel & Spa your accommodations for the next two nights. Set on an award-winning private estate, Pezula is known for its dramatic scenery, sweeping fynbos landscapes, ancient forests and its breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and Knysna Lagoon. The estate has an 18-hole championship Golf Course with spectacular seaside vistas. Other activities include horseback riding, tennis, hiking, walking and bird-watching in the indigenous forests near the resort.

Next, travel to the Sanbona Dwyka Lodge, a luxury hideaway located at the foot of the Warmwaterberg in the heart of the Little Karoo. The dramatic surround features a horseshoe-shaped dry ravine and impressive rock formations, many with evidence of the ancient tribes that once roamed the Karoo. Nine tents offer sublime luxury among this scenery, each with its own private deck and refreshing plunge pool. Over 133,000 acres of undulating mountains and plains, indigenous fauna and flora, rock formations and rock art make this a destination not to be missed. Sanbona’s pledge to preserving the rare, white lion is at its core – this is the only destination in the world where these magnificent animals roam free.

Arabella Western Cape Hotel welcomes you to their verdant estate, located in the heart of the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve and surrounded by the Cape Floral Kingdom, one of the richest plant kingdoms in the world. Isolated by the Hottentots Holland range, the region remains a seemingly remote wilderness just a short drive from bustling ports and beachfront splendor. The Arabella Golf Course, named the top course on the Western Cape by Compleat Golfer magazine, is a classic parkland course boasting amazing views across the Bot River lagoon and Hottentots Holland range.

As your tour draws to a close, spend your final night in South Africa at One&Only Cape Town.
