Ker & Downey's Spain Curated Journey begins first in San Sebastian, where you will set out on foot to explore the city and gain rare access into one of the town’s most revered private gastronomic clubs (txokos). Here, Basque chefs prepare a homemade meal on their personal time and you’ll dine side-by-side with them at their communal table.

Next, head to Tolosa for its famed Saturday market. Just steps away, you'll prepare what you’ve purchased with the help of a local chef in an art gallery turned test kitchen. All this leads to an unforgettable afternoon at a friend’s 17th century caserio (Basque farmstead) where this Slow Food evangelist raises, among other things, the last remaining autochthonous breed of Basque pig. Enjoy a hosted lunch on his farm and learn about the strides he is making to revolutionize the food industry.

Your adventure continues in Girona and along the shoreline of Costa Brava as you walk between jagged cliffs, forage in the foothills of the Pyrenees, and undertake architectural explorations in historic Girona.
