Itinerary Description:

Begin your tropical getaway in Rio de Janeiro, home to miles of bronzed beaches including the iconic Copacabana and Ipanema. Enjoy the beachside view from the Fasano Hotel and spend time touring the whole of the Marvelous City by bike and car. You will also see Sugar Loaf Mountain, the Corcovado and the statue of Christ the Redeemer.

Continue to the tiny town of Trancoso, a colonial settlement founded by fishermen in the late 16th century that remained isolated until the 1970s. The Uxua Casa Hotel is a simple, sustainable retreat with luxurious accommodations woven organically into the old homes that have long stood near the coast. Enjoy three days of barefoot luxury in this tranquil community. By day, lounge on the white sand beaches or in the aventurine quartz pool – at night, stroll the Quadrado by torchlight and enjoy live music and frivolity in the local restaurants and bars.

Next, spend an evening at Aram Yami on the edge of Salvador’s Pelourinho, the largest collection of colonial-era architecture in South America. Watch the Pelourinho come to life in the morning as you stroll the streets before flying out to sea to the Fernando de Noronha islands. With your own private bungalow and buggy at Pousada Maravilha, you can explore the island’s diverse landscape and pristine beaches for the remainder of your journey. You will hike the Capim Acu trail, stopping for swimming and snorkeling in the natural pools along the way, and take a boat tour around the entire island. Dolphin Bay, Pig Bay, Lion Beach and Praia de Atalaia are among the spectacular sites for swimming, diving and wildlife encounters on the last days of your Brazilian beach tour.
