Itinerary Description:
Tanzania is home to some of Africa’s most renowned national parks and this safari itinerary utilizes the finest lodges and deluxe tented safari camps in these parks. Enjoy excellent guiding for the entire trip, which takes you from Lake Manyara to the rim of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater before stopping in the Serengeti to witness the annual migration, one of the most spectacular sights imaginable.
Your journey starts with a game drive from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park and your accommodations at Lake Manyara Tree Lodge in a spacious tree house nestled in the boughs of the beautiful mahogany trees. It was on the shores of Lake Manyara that Ernest Hemingway wrote Green Hills of Africa. During your exploration of the ancient baobab trees and mahogany forest, look for the famous tree-climbing lions and other spectacular game found in the area.
The next day’s game drive brings you to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most spectacular settings in all of Africa. The region is home to amazing numbers of big game as well as the majestic Maasai tribe. Spend the next two nights in the beautiful Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, where you will experience breathtaking views from every vantage point.
A light aircraft flight will take you to the Serengeti National Park. Here, you will stay at one of four camps, specifically chosen to provide the best location for viewing the annual migration herds depending on the season and their current location.
