Itinerary Description:

Start your journey in Santiago, Chile’s capital. Following a panoramic city tour, including wine tasting at the Enoteca wine museum, enjoy a welcome dinner at Emilio, one of the finest restaurants in Santiago. Sample a unique blend of regional cuisine in an intimate dining atmosphere – the perfect ending to your first night in Chile. On your second day, visit the picturesque coastal cities of Valparaiso and Viña del Mar, noted for beaches and lovely public gardens.

Fly next to the lush jungles and rocky cliffs of the Lake District of Patagonia to experience four days of excursions, adventures and relaxation at The Cliffs Preserve. Nestled between rocky shores and a lush, ancient jungle, The Cliffs Preserve lords over the Pacific coast in understated elegance. The six stunning seaside villas are decorated with handicrafts and textiles from local communities, leaving the suites feeling like a cozy home away from home, authentically Chilean. Spend each day at your leisure discovering all the resort has to offer in the idyllic surroundings. Over 20 miles of trails and six miles of beaches await exploration. Horseback riding on the beach, deep-sea fishing, whale watching, zip-lining through the jungle and simply relaxing in an indulgent chocolate bath are among the endless experiences available.

Move from green surrounds to harsh desert at Atacama and the Awasi Resort in San Pedro de Atacama on the last half of your journey. The hotel only offers eight cottages, allowing the staff to provide personalized service and to ensure the utmost in relaxation in an atmosphere of simple, quiet luxury. Once again, explore at your leisure during your stay. Each cottage has a private guide and off-road vehicle, allowing excursions to be tailored to your specific interests. You can enjoy touring the desert and town by vehicle, or explore the region on horseback, mountain bike or on foot. Volcanoes, salt basins and lake beds that have been dry for hundreds of years can be found here.

To close your trip, fly back to Santiago for a final night in Chile. Relax once again at the Ritz-Carlton Santiago before your departure, taking with you the memories of unforgettable jungle treks, desert excursions and relaxing moments spent in simplified luxury.
