Amanzi Bush Camp is the newest luxury option in the Lower Zambezi National Park. Arriving with flourish to a region with a reputation for true isolation amidst stunning and rare wildlife, visitors will find a luxury safari experience complemented by comfortable tented suites set alongside the Zambezi River.
The sister camp to Anabezi Luxury Tented Camp, which takes its name from the giant Ana tree, Amanzi Bush Camp derives its title from the Tonga word for water. Fitting, as the camp’s unrivaled location places it and its guests along the banks of the Ngwenya channel, right on the edge of the Zambezi River. Just four tented rooms comprise the camp’s accommodations, each raised on timbers and surrounded by a wooden deck. This elevated position has a dual purpose: to preserve the surrounding landscape and to take advantage of fantastic views over the river waters and the small nearby islands. Tents themselves are shrouded in protective mosquito netting, keeping the sitting area and generous bed pest-free and comfortable. En suite bath facilities include an indoor shower, and the private balcony is primed for excellent views over this quiet, secluded slice of Lower Zambezi.
A raised walkway connects the four superb tented suites to the main area of Amanzi Bush Camp. Here, visitors can imbibe on a variety of spirits and wines, and indulge in hearty meals with fellow guests. A spacious wooden deck and infinity swimming pool at main camp provide a point of relaxation ideal for spying on the meandering resident game. Expect the local elephants and other wildlife to wander in and out of camp at their leisure here as they do in Anabezi, to the delight of safari goers.
Venturing outside of camp, game drives on foot or by traditional safari vehicle ferry guests throughout the Lower Zambezi National Park in search of sightings of resident wildlife. In addition to a healthy population of elephants, eland, antelope, zebra, buffalo, kudu, genet, mongoose, hyena, ape, baboon, lion, leopard, warthog, honey badger, and approximately 500 species of birds can be glimpsed on explorations in the park. An advantageous position on the Zambezi makes boat trips and canoeing easy accomplishments for visitors keen to safari over water or enjoy a fishing trip. Amanzi Bush Camp excels at setting the stage for an unforgettable safari experience in this quiet area of Zambia.Request Information
