The newly launched MV Tarquin is the ultra-luxe response to the demand for high-end cruises through New Zealand’s Marlborough Sounds. Embodying understated luxury reflective of its environment, this private 65-foot charter allows discerning travelers to escape through the paradise of the Sounds on half-day, full-day, and multi-night itineraries without sacrificing the comfort and style of home.
The vision of Mussel farmer turned tourism operator Chris Godsiff, MV Tarquin is his newest luxury launch. Modern and beautifully appointed, the interiors of MV Tarquin were flawlessly designed by local stylist Sylvia Hayward, who sourced fittings from the surrounding area. Each of the three en-suite cabins boasts bed linens and special décor pieces derived from Thomas’s in Blenheim, while many of the nautical touches come from Waiheke Island on the peripheral waters of Auckland. Best described as an orderly mix of materials and textures, the color palettes within reflect that of the sea and sand, harking the serenity of the boat’s beautiful Marlborough Sounds setting.
Recently refurbished to its original glory, MV Tarquin is generously appointed and fully equipped with all of the luxuries of home. Guests can relax and unwind in both inside and outside lounge and dining areas and benefit from the amenities of the sun deck, galley kitchen, and three en-suited private cabins. The rear deck acts as a covered outdoor lounge and provides dual stair access directly to the water for swimming and water escapades.
MV Tarquin is available for half-day and full-day charters, as well as exclusive overnight cruises for up to six passengers. Spoiled with their very own private crew, chef, and walking guide, guests of the MV Tarquin have a host of activities from which to choose during their luxury cruise.
