Opening in 2018, Dinaka Safari Lodge will be an intimate safari lodge perched on the northern boundary of Botswana's Central Kalahari Game Reserve. Travel to a wild world where a colorful array of birds, herds of graceful antelope, and Kalahari black-maned lions roam.
Feel lost in a wild and mysterious world of fossilized river valleys, stretches of golden grasses, and blue skies in the second largest wildlife reserve in the world. An exclusive private reserve hugging the northern edge of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Dinaka Safari Lodge is host to classic Kalahari predators and plains game.
Look forward to a 16-bed camp, offering the comforts of home while deep in the bush of Botswana. Seven twin and double-bedded tents will be available for anyone wanting to get up-close with the animals of this area. Families can retreat to the larger family tent that sleeps five.
Giraffes, wildebeests, and brown hyenas can all be spotted on day game drives. Graceful impalas and warthogs congregate and drink from nearby watering hole. Photographers will love keeping a look out for some 200 species of bird, flitting through the sky or perching on the trees that reach out to the heavens. Groups of tall ostrich regularly make their way through the open plains, too.
Walking safaris allow you to travel through tall bush to really see this reserve from the point-of-view of the animals that live here. With your guide you will discover animal tracks, see small reptiles, watch white butterflies dance through the trees, and listen to the sound of the breeze and the chirps of the birds,
After watching a beautiful pink and orange African sunset, head out on a night drive. Adventure seekers make their way into the darkness where new creatures and their night calls are revealed. A powerful spotlight helps to illuminate the nocturnal creatures that are sometimes harder to find during the day.
Gaze at the glittering stars as you relax around the campfire chatting with other guests, or sleep out on the deck and let the sounds of the wild lull you into slumber.
