Ker & Downey's Policy on Airfares & Schedules

The cost of the tour may include air transportation as required in the itinerary either from/to the USA gateway or for a portion of the itinerary. Tour prices based on special airfares are based on availability and can carry change and cancellation penalties. Please be sure you understand these charges before accepting the itinerary! Ker & Downey will not assume any responsibility for any air schedule changes; however, we will attempt to keep you fully informed of changes as we learn of them.

Supplemental fares for departure from most major cities are available. Please inquire about our low fares traveling in the First and Business class cabin.

We do not arrange for loyalty program / mileage free tickets or upgrades, but we will be pleased to provide you with a detailed flight itinerary required for any of these programs.

Air tickets can only be issued upon receipt of the appropriate copied pages of the traveler's passport.

Baggage Policy

The airlines permit economy class passengers to carry 2 average sized suitcases for which specific measurements and weight are written in their tariffs. Carriers have specific tariffs that apply to carry-on baggage as well. One average sized suitcase will be carried on safari; however, clients who will be traveling by light aircraft on safari must carry medium sized soft luggage or duffel bags when flying sectors in small light aircraft which have limited space for baggage and a weight restriction to be advised. City hotels do store luggage for guests while they are out on safari. Please check directly on your carrier's website for the most up to the minute information on baggage requirements.


Cancellation Insurance

We strongly advise you to purchase trip cancellation insurance, which KDH makes available to you. This can protect you from financial loss in almost all circumstances. Information for US residents will be sent to you at time of booking. Ker & Downey is not permitted to sell travel insurance to non-USA residents.

"There were many highlights of the trip but we think the camp at Shinde was the best. We loved being there and thought it was a real privilege to have had Bilippe (not sure of spelling) the Bushman as our guide. He was fantastic and made the game drives a real excitement. We were also impressed with the management of Richard and Olivia at Shinde. Muchenje was also fabulous and we loved the game drives there. Got some great footage of three lion cubs there and these with the footage of a leopard that Bilippe tracked at Shinde were the best footage we got. We had a great time and met some great people and saw some great game - lions at Muchenje, leopard at Shinde and wild dogs at Lagoon. As is said Shinde was the most enjoyable.
